Peace & Harmony

On Memorial Day, we were just hanging out at home, after taking Cary to the airport, and I walked into the kitchen and loved what I saw. All three of my kids sitting at the table, engrossed in beading and Legos. They were quiet and content and being creative. A Mother's Dream..... especially during a time when the younger two seem to have been inhabited by aliens who are out to suck each other's brains out of each other heads. Or use their alien vampire teeth to bite each other when all other means have been exhausted. I can put this time on the calendar each year, two weeks out from school ending. We're ready to be done and at home relaxing and having summer fun.

Spring Fling 09

Casey had her annual Spring Fling at gymnastics this weekend. She did a wonderful performance on the bars, beam, vault and floor. I tried to get pics but it was really difficult in the light, so there are a few from the meet and then some outside at home of our little gymnast in action.

Prom 09

Yesterday was Prom and although we are done with that for a while :) I had the pleasure of watching my friend Sher's daughter, Brianna, get ready. I snapped some quick pics of her - she's such a cutie and we had some good laughs!

Austin's Camping Trip

This past weekend, Austin did his first Boy Scout camping trip. Daddy went too and they had such a good time, although it was a little chilly! They hiked, learned how to start a campfire, did skits around the fire at night and cooked all their own food. They go for a longer camp in June, so this was a "practice run". I think they're ready - IF they can carry their backpacks which are almost as big as they are! Love my boys.
