Basketball Fever

Austin played his first official season of basketball and had a great time. He had the same coach he had for football, Coach "K", and we are so thankful for his ability to teach and lead these young 3rd graders. Many weeks, their basketball "homework" was a lesson in leadership, such as writing a paragraph about the strengths of a fellow ball player, or sitting by someone at lunch who you don't know and asking them questions and reporting back to Coach. At the end of the season, Coach K gave awards to every player and Austin received The Most Coachable - the player who was the most teachable, always stopped and listened when Coach was speaking, didn't have to be told twice, and was very disciplined. And as Daddy says "if you're teachable, you can do anything". Way to go Austin!
