Anclote Island

We spent some time with my sister Jennie and her family. Danny's dad, Pastor Ken, took us all out in his boat to Anclote Island. It is a small island, perfect for anchoring and exploring the shore. We literally had the place to ourselves and it was heavenly!

Leaving the dock

Jennie and I each picked out our retirement homes...

OK, this was on the way back in when we got caught in a rainstorm, and this is Jennie! We were laughing so hard!

Out on the island; Nicole and Austin

The kids found all kinds of stuff - here's a little crab

Oh, that little brother . . .

This is how deserted it was - this is our little group and the boat - it was awesome!

Austin got a true lesson in driving a boat - we did a few circles and then he did great! Thank you to Pastor Ken for being so great with him.

Do we have to leave???

THAT LOOKS SOOO NICE! That looked like being on a deserted island in the middle of paradise!! Can we live there? Just us? Kimberly used to go there as a kid and find lots of sand dollars. Looks like it so super fun.

What a beautiful island. I didn't know there was anywhere in Florida on water that could be that deserted. Love the pictures. Looks like your Florida vacation was a good one.
