Casey's best friend, Kari, joined us for this trip and it was her very first time getting in the ocean. Our first day there, it was rainy and cloudy, but that didn't stop us from venturing to the ocean. As I was taking pictures of the kids jumping in, it dawned on me that Kari had never experienced the pull of the ocean as the waves come in and out. I tried to imagine what that first felt like - so different from the Minnesota lakes and rivers that she's often in. She was walking cautiously at first, but very quickly jumped in.
Look carefully....
We had visitors every day we were in the ocean! We even saw a pod of dolphin slapping their tails, which was soooo cool to see in the wild.
At the end of each day, we were back at the ocean to walk, watch stars, check the sea turtle nests, and run from all the crabs!

Oh my goodness!! I can't believe you caught a picture of that fish in the air AND the dolphins. Unbelievable! That picture of Cary and Austin is timeless - you should frame it. Whatever Kirky and Hannah are looking at makes Kir look like she is about to take off running! So funny.
