South Dakota: Bear Country
Austin and I were able to join Cary in South Dakota for a day when he recently had a 24 hour layover. We love visiting the Black Hills area and Mt. Rushmore. The first time we ever visited, Cary had to convince me that I would enjoy it (since there was no beach :) and it has become one of my favorite places. We visited Bear Country, where you stay in your car and very slowly drive through different areas. I think it's the way a zoo ought to be - the animals free and the humans in the enclosure!
South Dakota: The Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore
Needles Highway is awesome!!
You never know what you may see...
Driving through Custer State Park was so beautiful, the leaves were changing and we saw so much wildlife!
This is one of our favorite tunnels because as you come out, your view directly ahead is of Mt. Rushmore.
